Terms + Conditions

The following information is provided to assist your enjoyment of this property and the region overall.
Noonyara Retreat is on the lands of the Gadubanud people of the Maar nation, and registered with 'Trust for Nature' as 'Land for Wildlife'. The owners are committed to living simply and regeneratively with native flora and fauna.
Noonyara Retreat Apollo Bay acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Owners and Elders, past and present, of the lands on which we operate.
 We acknowledge Aboriginal connection to cultural and creative practice for more than 65,000 years on the lands that we work on and extend our respect to First Nations people throughout the communities where we live and work. 
We acknowledge that sovereignty was not ceded.

The land is within the old Marengo forrest and as such contains native bush, waterways, and native wildlife, such as the king parrots, kingfishers, kookaburras, echidnas, wallabies and koalas, alongside a diverse fungi population.  
There is an onsite walking trail, a map of the walking trail is available. 
The property boundary is marked by white posts, guests are required to stay within the property boundary.

Only residents or guests of Noonyara Retreat arts residency, nature stays, workshops or events are allowed onsite.
Pets, smoking and onsite open fires are prohibited.


With the highest rainfall in Victoria and open to the southern ocean the region can experience high rainfall and winds as well as heat and bushfires. Be aware of  waterways, slippery surfaces, fungi, falling branches, and reptiles.
The Vic Emergency App or similar online information is useful when travelling in the region.

 

Nature Stays

 The accommodation sleeps 8 people in four bedrooms, each with an ensuite.

The bedrooms each have a super king bed which can be split into 2 king singles on request. 

Standard check in hours are between 3pm and 7pm, with checkout by 11am.  

The accommodation is supplied with filtered water via rainwater tanks and uses an onsite waste water system.

The property is supplied with renewable electricity.

Waste is sorted into compost, landfill, and recyclable in the house and studio.

There is an electric car charger (7kw) onsite for guest use.

Rates quoted are per stay per night, unless otherwise specified.

Rates are inclusive of linen, tea/coffee and incidentals and quoted in Australian dollars.

        Where possible pantry goods are organic or biodynamic produce and supplied from local sources

such as the Southern Otway Food Coop.

 

Books and games are available for use in the accommodation.

Artwork is sourced from regional Australian artists, and listed in the Noonyara Retreat Art Book. 

Yoga books and mats are available for use in the accommodation on request.

Any loss or damage beyond reasonable wear and tear must be paid for.

We can facilitate onsite classes and workshops. Please contact noonyararetreat@gmail.com for enquiries/booking.

Events + Workshops

Events + Workshops are provided onsite and in the studio. 

Attendees must comply with the studio rules and the terms and conditions of Noonyara Retreat. 

Payment must be paid in full prior to attending events or workshops. 

For workshops the fees include materials and equipment required unless otherwise noted.

Additional materials post the workshop such as firings, clay and glaze, or other art materials are available at a cost.

Free onsite parking available. 

Please wear closed-toe footwear and comfortable clothing that you are happy to get dirty in!

By booking an event / workshop you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

The studio will fire final ceramic pieces made by students. This excludes test and experimental pieces made during the class. 

The studio is not responsible for breakages of students’ work during the production and firing process.

We will do our best to fire your ceramics within 1-3 weeks of the completion of your class.

We require you to collect all fired ceramic pieces within 2 weeks of receiving an email.

As we don’t have room to store pieces your work may be disposed of if not collected within the timeframe.

Designs remain the intellectual property of Noonyara Retreat or the nominated workshop instructor.

These designs may not be resold or represented to be the property of the student.

 

The studio will take photos and video footage during events or workshops. These photographs may be used as promotional material or across our social media channels or website and may include your work, your hands or your face. 
Please inform our staff if you do not consent to your image being taken or published.

 

Your private information will not be shared with a third party.
