Applications are open for our 1-week funded Noonyara Retreat Writers Residency for September 2026. We invite writers to spend time immersed in coastal Apollo Bay.

We offer writers of varied experience and ages a place of solitude to plan, create and write in a serene coastal bush setting in this self-guided residency. 

Writers will have access to two lounge areas, dining and full kitchen, including writing desks. Each writer will be allocated a private bedroom with ensuite. There is a large balcony overlooking an open grass area nestled in bushland and often inhabited by swamp wallabies, passing koalas and a myriad of native birdlife. There is an onsite bush trail through the property.

Applications close 16 August, with writers advised of acceptance by 19 August.

This self-guided writer’s residency is for individual writers, emerging or professional. Up to 4 writers will be accepted. Funding for accommodation costs including linen and cleaning is funded by Noonyara Retreat Apollo Bay.

Travel + food costs are at the writers expense.
